Although officially retired, Richard continues to maintain a significant presence at the agency. Bringing more than 40 years experience to the Agency, he is an important source of knowledge and guidance to the next generation of agents at Wilson, Washburn and Forster. Richard holds the designation of CPCU and is a past president of the CPCU Society of South Florida, and a Director of the IIASF. He was appointed to the Insurance Commissioners General Lines Agents Advisory Committee, served the United States as a Captain in the US Air Force Reserves and is a Trustee of Temple Judea in Coral Gables.
